Product Introduction

The CLYC (Cs2LiYCl6:Ce) crystal is a scintillation crystal for neutron detection with the most outstanding comprehensive performance, featuring high density (3.3 g/cm³), high neutron light yield (>70000 photon/n), excellent energy resolution (4.5%-5.5%), strong neutron/gamma discrimination capability (FOM: 3.5-4.5), high neutron absorption efficiency (77%), and a wide operational temperature range (-40℃ to 180℃). It is, to date, the inorganic scintillation crystal with the best combined capability for neutron/gamma discrimination. The neutron detection efficiency and neutron/gamma discrimination capability of CLYC crystals demonstrate that they are the most suitable materials to replace 3He proportional counters for neutron detection. CLYC scintillators mark the beginning of a new era in dual-mode detection of neutrons and gamma rays and the development of complex nuclear radiation detectors. They hold broad application prospects in fields such as petroleum exploration, nuclear reactor core inspection, space research, and high-energy physics, where related products have already seen widespread use in the industry.

Higher Neutron Sensitivity;                                       Neutron Detection Efficiency Exceeds 30 cps/ng;

The best neutron/γ discrimination capability among all potassium cryolite scintillators;

Misidentification rate lower than 1/10^7;               Energy resolution (~5% @ 662 keV);

Light yield of 20,000 photons/MeV, 70,000 photons/neutron.
