History

In 1993

Professor Jie Wanqi started to grow cadmium zinc telluride single crystal.

In 2003

a detector-grade cadmium zinc telluride (CZT) single crystal with a diameter of 60mm was successfully grown.

In 2007

cadmium zinc telluride (CZT) detector prototypes were fabricated.

In 2012

Shaanxi Imdetek Co., Ltd. was established, located in Qinhan New City, Xixian New Area, Shaanxi Province, focusing on growing, developing, manufacturing, and sales of the third-generation detectors, devices, and equipment for radiation detection and imaging.

In 2013

the technology for growing cadmium zinc telluride single crystals and preparing detectors was awarded the National Second Prize for Technological Invention, and the construction of the first phase of the factory, covering more than 20,000 square meters, began.

In 2015

the first phase of construction was completed, and the entire operation was relocated to Qinhan New City in the Xixian New Area, marking the beginning of the industrialization of cadmium zinc telluride single crystal.

In 2016

it started the project of cadmium zinc telluride modules for X-ray photon counting imaging and their application exploration. Cadmium zinc telluride detectors were integrated into the Shijian-10 satellite, obtaining data for space radiation research.

In 2017

it was recognized as a "National Intellectual Property Advantage Enterprise" and received the China Patent Award. The company also succeeded in the batch production of 100mm detector-grade cadmium zinc telluride single crystals.

In 2018

the "technology for the growth of cadmium zinc telluride crystals and the design and production of cadmium zinc telluride detectors" was recognized as being of an international advanced level, and cadmium zinc telluride single crystals were named a Shaanxi Province Famous Brand Product.

In 2019

the company initiated Series A equity financing, beginning to attract capital for accelerated development.

In 2020

photon counting imaging modules were developed, and γ cameras and γ-ray spectrometers were produced, realizing the application of cadmium zinc telluride imaging modules in fields such as medical imaging, nuclear fusion, and nuclear safety.

In 2021

the cadmium zinc telluride detectors passed aerospace-grade verification and were applied to the Shenzhou-12 spacecraft.

In 2022

the company initiated Series B equity financing, planned, and began the construction of the second phase of the factory and production lines, covering more than 8,000 square meters, aiming to create the largest cadmium zinc telluride photon counting imaging module industrial base internationally.

In 2023

more than 10 new products were developed, including a new type of X-ray photon counting and nuclear medicine imaging system, personal radiation dosimeters, nuclide identifiers, and new functional materials. The company was recognized as a "National Intellectual Property Demonstration Enterprise," and a "Quality Benchmark Demonstration Enterprise in Shaanxi Province."
